ROSEOLA INFANTUM

Gambar atas Khilfi time kena raseola waktu 9 bulan, and gambar bawah adik barely 5 months old kena. Paed kata adik nih matured. kakakakaka…

but as the rashes started developed I already had a feeling it is not measles. Coz when adik was sick 3 days ago, temerature mmg quite high almost 39degree. And it subside very fast macam abang 2 kali amik medicine and all vanished. Then on 4th day adik terus get this rashes. So a visit to paed last night confirmed it.

Its not contagious and no treatment needed. Adik is all happy as usual without realising habis satu badan berpolkadots. But yes, adik lagi teruk dr abang dulu. I can sense adik will be more lasak and everything la ni. 😛

Get well soon adik.

This viral infection is the most common illness causing fever in children under the age of two years. It is most common between the ages of 6-9 months. Fevers with temperatures of 39-40ºC begin suddenly and last for 3-5 days. The child is otherwise well apart from some mild irritability. The glands around the neck become enlarged and then as the temperature falls, a rose-pink coloured rash develops on the neck and the body. It may spread to the arms, face and legs and fades within 1-2 days. It is not itchy. No treatment is needed for the rash.
